What are “drafts”?

The Drafts category is intended to help you keep track of items you are still working on. 

Studio on mobile: 
Your dashboard shows the categories Items and Drafts, and 
when you tap View My Inventory you will see tabs for All Items and Drafts. 

When you add a new item in your mobile app and tap Save & Finish, you will be asked: 
Upload this item to your inventory? Your choices are: 
  1. Save As Draft: the item goes into Drafts. 
  2. Save: the item goes into All Items categorized as Available.
Studio on desktop: 
Your dashboard shows Total Items with the categories Available, On Hold, Out of Stock, Sold and Draft. 

When you add a new item in your desktop app, you will have the options Save as Draft and Save at the bottom of the page.  
  1. Save As Draft: the item goes into Total Items categorized as Draft
  2. Save: the item goes into Total Items categorized as Available
While an item is a draft, some actions can’t be done e.g. prep for listing, copy, put on hold; because these functions usually have the best result when working with complete item records.
